Engineering Sciences at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a
full-time position as an Assistant Professor, Construction, Civil & Geoscience Engineering and Civil Engineering Technology. The anticipated
start date is August 8, 2024.

nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of

RESPONSIBILITIES: Morehead State University, recognized as one of the top public universities
in the South by U.S. News & World Report, is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track position as Assistant Professor. We are
seeking an accomplished candidate to join our faculty as a tenure-track faculty member with expertise that bridges Civil Engineering and
Geosciences. Two units with diverse disciplines in physics, geology, engineering, and engineering technology are being merged into a new
Department of Engineering Sciences, which will be active beginning January 2, 2024.

REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geological Engineering,
or a closely related field. A strong record of research with a focus on Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and/or Geological
Engineering. A commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Proficiency in Geological Engineering, including relevant
coursework or experience including Structural Geology, and Geotechnical Engineering. Exceptional communication and teamwork
skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure in Civil Engineering (PE) and/or Geology
(PG). Substantial industry experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Geological Engineering. Success in securing external
research funding. A history of interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience with online and hybrid
teaching.
