Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Tenure-track position in a vibrant CEPH-accredited undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.P.H) program in Public Health. Grounded in social justice, our program is committed to preparing practitioners and scholars who will work with communities and health systems to promote health equity and eliminate health disparities. Our Health Systems Administration and Policy concentration boasts unique partnerships with the university’s MBA program, Medical Humanities program, and many others. We seek a strong individual for our concentration in Health Systems Administration and Policy. Appointment includes research, curriculum development, and teaching undergraduate and graduate public health courses. Faculty members are expected to be active scholars, to advise students, and to participate in department, college, and university committees and activities.
COLLEGE FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH (CCHL) AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
The College for Community Health (CCHL) at Montclair State University is dedicated to addressing pressing health inequities in New Jersey, the region and beyond. The Department of Public Health offers academic programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in Community Health Education and Health Systems Administration and Policy. Our mission is to advance health equity and social justice, through our commitment to an upstream focus and cultural responsiveness in the development of public health professionals, in our community engagement, and in our scholarship. Faculty research areas include, but are not limited to, health economics, health systems and healthcare utilization, discrimination as a social determinant of health, the interaction of neighborhood and school environments on health behaviors, sexuality education and sexual health, water security, infant feeding practices, maternal and child health including sociopolitical determinants of infant feeding practices, structural determinants of health and health seeking behaviors, cancer epidemiology.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Earned doctorate in health policy, health administration, health economics, or related public health field, a well-defined research agenda, and evidence of scholarly activities.
