POSITION SUMMARY

The Transportation Dispatcher for UCO (Used Cooking Oil) is responsible for coordinating work with customers (external and internal) and the Transportation Manager and Supervisor. This involves constant knowledge of asset availability (people and equipment) to support planned loads and respond to emergency or special requests in a DOT compliant manner. This Dispatcher will also coordinate work with other departments – Plumbing and Processing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – GENERAL

• Develop a daily driver schedule based on customer needs and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Maintain strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute schedule changes.
• Receive emergency and non-emergency customer requests as they come in and input into TMS for service.
• Address problems and requests by communicating information or providing solutions.
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
• Use phone and /or computer to send drivers and equipment to appropriate locations.
• Via GPS, Monitor the route and status of drivers to, from and on customer sites.
• RouteOptix- create routes for day and night shift, enter new customers info.
• Send out nightly and next day Schedules.
• Answer Phones for Service Requests, PO’s for Tech’s, Complete Daily Call Sheet for Tracking
• Verify Drivers have proper paperwork and safety equipment daily.
• Monitor DOT HOS and compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – OTHER

• Provide management with any reports upon request.
• Work as on-call dispatcher on weekends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – GREASE

• Create Yellow Grease (YG) routes, update YG board and YG route shared calendar.
• Contracts – Enter contracts from sales reps into One Plus, Access and UCO Master List, create Files and Service Tickets
• Containers – Update notes from drivers in YG Database, create Routes for placement, pickups and swaps, add pictures to I-drive and YG database

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Associates degree or combination of education and experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 2-5 years’ experience in dispatch, transportation, and or logistics
• Excellent communication with all employees, customers, and general public
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various transportation management systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
