Purpose

The Account Manger prospects, maintains, and expands relationships with strategically important customers and/or market segments. The Account Managers are responsible for achieving sales quotas, profitability, managing sales orders, production scheduling, forecasting and business development objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and Manages the Customer scorecard in regard to On-time Delivery and quality expectations.
• Establishes productive & professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
• Complete customer communications information in CRM and/or sales funnel.
• Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support services and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and achieve customer performance expectations.
• Travel as required including overnight stays if needed
• Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs.
• Contact and work to obtain new opportunities & accounts that are in alignment with our business strategy.
• Review CRM and/or sales funnel information for trending, data review and setting of metrics.
• Leverage all Lake Air capabilities within the accounts to upsell additional services and secure new programs.
• Ability to provide technical support & direction to our customers and operate within the engineering groups.
• Strategic sales direction with-in Customer focus using the sales funnel based on market segments working directly with Account Managers
• AOP (Annual Operational Planning) Target and forecasting with-in customer segments to achieve the strategic sales goals year over year. Updated Quarterly.
• Runs daily, weekly, and monthly reports (PMR) to continuously monitor customer orders vs. availability of inventory, and scheduling.
• This position is responsible for the accuracy of all data entered.
• Works with production and scheduling to determine progress of work and to provide information to customers on changes in delivery schedules.
• Resolves schedule changes with internal personnel as well as the customer.
• Routes customer issues to appropriate departments and expedites production to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manages customer complaints and addresses issues concerning team responsibility.
• Support actions to ensure timely resolution on RMA’s.
• Performs other work-related tasks as needed.
• Customer forecast management and entry.
• Customer inventory management (consigned or VMI).
• Confidently interact to influence customer expectations. Promote expectations more suitable to a partnership including Lead-time expectations, inventory management, quality expectations, and cost.
• Build and maintain production schedules to support demand from various customer demand streams; providing support for manufacturing as well as internal and external customers.
• Monitor Planned Material Requirements (detailed product supply and demand report) to identify and correct any supply shortages as well as eliminate unnecessary overbuilding of inventory
• Manage the production supply and demand streams within M1 for dependent and independent demand items
• Assist operations managers and order processors to set and control production priorities to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction in meeting promise dates
• Approval authority for all expedite requests, changes and updates to production and plans for overall customer commitments

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 + years previous sales experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret sales metrics and forecasts
• Ability to lead other sales employees
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent communications skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
