Key Responsibilities :
The Community Health Coordinator is a full-time, federally funded position created to coordinate and support health related initiatives in Huntingdon County and at Juniata College. The position is funded through a project grant for at least another year with the possibility of continuation dependent on securing additional grant funding. One of the main responsibilities of the Community Health Coordinator is to implement a community education campaign for Juniata’s One Health Initiative on preventing tick-borne diseases. Other responsibilities include: developing and disseminating health promotion campaigns and materials through the ACHIEVE program, planning community engagement events, and supervising students serving in the Community Health Fellow and Community Health Corps positions. The Community Health Coordinator will work closely with the AmeriCorps VISTA members, as well as members of the Community Health Coalition on and off campus. Position start date could be as early as August 2023, but will be open until filled.
