Positions in this level perform various, custodial, and maintenance related tasks to ensure and maintain proper cleanliness of facilities. Positions may repair and replace items, including but not limited to, light fixtures, switches, doors, hardware, windows, locks, etc., Custodians may be directed by public safety personnel to secure windows and doors, unlock doors, and ensure that building alarms are activated. Custodians may be required to drive to satellite locations. Custodians will assist with event set ups/take downs. Alternate work shift.
This position is a classified full-time position and eligible for overtime.

SALARY INFORMATION: The above salary reflects the starting step (Step C) Range 34 and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. As a new employed classified employee, based on annual increments, it will take 5 years to reach Step L on the salary schedule, 11 years to reach step M on the salary schedule. This does not reflect any contractual changes, legislative mandated salary increases or Cost of Living Increases (COLA’s) that may be approved in the future.
