Position Summary:
The Trainer is responsible for conveying the knowledge and skills to a company’s workforce through presenting training programs, and training aids. The Trainer conducts learning curriculum through various training techniques, creates a positive learning environment, communicates objectives clearly, and encourages and motivates trainees. This position also collaborates with the Training Curriculum Developer to ensure training materials are appropriate and effective.
Essential Functions:
1.Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2.Present training material using appropriate program, including, but not limited to: classroom learning, demonstrations, one-on-one coaching, and online learning.
3.Assist the Training Team to schedule training sessions which will minimize disruption to normal work, while ensuring that team members achieve the levels of skill necessary for their jobs.
4.Collaborate with team in building effective training programs through drafts and edits to deliver clean and prepared trainings.
5.Collaborate with team to determine instructional methods, such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
6.Assist with preparing hard copy and digital teaching aids, such as module summaries, multi-media visual aids, training handbooks, computer tutorials, and presentations.
7.Assist Training Manager uploading course content into LMS and work with creating training schedule to fit the business needs.
8.Assist the Training Coordinator in selecting and booking the training venue, when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
1.Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
2.Three (3) years’ experience training in a classroom setting, utilizing various instructional methods, with at least 10 or more adult learners.
3.Must have excellent facilitation skills and the ability to utilize various training techniques.
4.Passion for excellence, high level of energy, strong ability to energize and motivate others.
5.Displays strong observational skills to assess trainee’s understanding and progress, and to seamlessly make adjustments to the training program/curriculum when necessary.
6.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
7.Aware of new and evolving techniques in corporate training.
8.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
9.Preferred knowledge of Myer-Briggs Type Indicator.
10.Preferred knowledge of DiSC Assessment.
11.Bilingual strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
1.Ability to speak and project voice for duration of shift.
2.Ability to sit, walk, and stand for duration of shift.
3.Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
4.Willingness to work remotely if needed.
5.Willingness to work outside or normal hours as needed to accommodate a 24/7 business organization.
