This position provides administrative support for the college¿s human resource functions.
Responsibilities
·Assists the Human Resources/Career Services staff with other administrative functions as needed.
·Demonstrates and assists new employees with new hire training and with annual employee training.
·Scanning and indexing of personnel files, and other identified files.
·Files, answers phones, takes messages and email correspondence, greets visitors, and provides appropriate assistance.
·Preparing employee ID badges.
·Notifies supervisor(s) of any questions, problems, or concerns.
·The Human Resource Technician I position includes other duties as assigned and specific duties that are listed in the respective assigned task list.
·Assists in other departments with administrative duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
·High School Diploma or GED.
·Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with completing an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one year.
Preferred Qualifications
·Prior work experience in Human Resources.
·Prior work experience in a confidential setting.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
·Knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
·Knowledge of college and system job search and selection processes.
·Knowledge of modern office practices.
·Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.
·Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
·Skill in oral and written communication.
