Will assist in impacting success outcomes through transformative career and professional development that will equip students with lifelong career readiness skills. This includes working in collaboration with The Director of Career Education, Associate Deans, Department Chairs, and academic departments to integrate career resources and technologies housed in the Career Center and developing high-impact programs and initiatives that will help students secure internships, mentoring opportunities and positions after graduation. Will work closely with the Director of Career Education and the Career Education Team to develop, expand and strengthen the connections between academic departments, student clubs and organizations and The Center for Career & Professional Development. 1. Develop and implement processes, systems, content, learning outcomes and digital resources to embed career education into the curricular and co-curricular student experience across Lehigh’s colleges
*Collaborate with Associate Deans, Department Chairs, academic departments and faculty across Lehigh’s colleges to design and implement career exploration and career readiness programs to support strong success outcomes
*Liaise with Associate Deans and faculty to advocate and increase awareness of Center for Career & Professional Development resources and programming
*Work concurrently with the colleges with a focus on the individual needs of students from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Health and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering & Applied Sciences
*Collaborate with the Career Coaches to implement programs, scalable support systems and create content to connect students to frameworks and approaches with their designated student population
*Continuously evaluate and improve career development content and programming based on feedback, data and emerging trends
*Develop, expand and strengthen Center for Career & Professional Development relationships with faculty and academic departments by serving as a key resource for career development topics in collaboration with academic programs
*Continue to explore and leverage technology as a tool to scale career education
2. Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of career integration initiatives
*With feedback from college stakeholders, define and measure learning outcomes to assess the effectiveness of career development content and programming
*Develop metrics, reports and college dashboards to measure the effectiveness of career integration initiatives
*Track, analyze and report program and student engagement data for program value, improvement and enhancement in preparing students for career and life readiness
*Create and implement college dashboards to inform the Director of Career Education and Senior Director of progress
*Utilize data storytelling and infographics to communicate to University stakeholders
3. Collaborate with the Director of Career Education and the Career Education Team to develop and implement effective intervention strategies for Lehigh’s undergraduate colleges
*Work collaboratively with the Career Education Team to develop and implement intervention strategies that meet the unique needs, diverse industry interests and varying application timelines of each of Lehigh’s undergraduate colleges
*Using the 4-year learning cycle, develop targeted intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of Lehigh students
4. With the Director of Career Education, co-lead the onboarding process for new professionals joining the Center for Career & Professional Development and develop annual plans for professional development
*Develop and implement an onboarding program that provides new hires with a clear understanding of the organization’s mission, vision and goals
*Provide support and guidance to new hires as they navigate their roles and responsibilities with the Center
*Promote professional development opportunities and create an annual professional development plan for the Career Education Team including conferences, webinars, online learning, certifications, professional associations and learning retreats
5. Program promotion in campus communities; serve as a connector, facilitator and convener of students, employers, alumni, faculty and staff
*Serve as the Center for Career & Professional Development liaison to targeted campus groups/communities; collaborate with the Dean of Students colleagues and key campus partners to provide targeted programming for students (i.e. Athletics, Office of Student Leadership Development, Greek Affairs, Office of Residence Life)
*Develop programs that connect alumni and students to promote student success
*Serve on various cross-functional teams to promote the vision and direction of The Center for Career & Professional Development
*Represent Lehigh and The Center for Career & Professional Development in local and national professional associations and conferences in order to stay current with higher education trends, revise programs to reflect trends and increase the Center’s visibility among professionals in the field
