The Role

As an IT Technician with Dom’s, you will work closely with Dom’s management and the user community to develop and deliver technology solutions to maintain, enhance and grow our business. Providing top-notch support and service to our users, in a courteous and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, deploy, and maintain hardware at company facilities including Windows tablets, desktop and laptop PCs, Android and iOS devices, Linux servers and other peripheral devices such scanners and network printers
• Support applications and systems including, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, ECRS Point of Sale, SES Electronic Shelf Labels
• Provide emergency 24×7 support for ECRS Point of Sale System
• Monitor network switches, firewalls and access points and work with the network team to analyze and remediate network security and performance issues
• Deploy and apply security, system, and application updates to maintain system security and performance
• Troubleshoot virus and malware issues
• Monitor nightly Point of Sale backup jobs
• Use Dom’s IT and vendor ticketing systems to manage and track requests and issues
• Provide timely onsite and remote user and system support
• Always treat co-workers, contractors and Dom’s customers with courtesy and respect
• Prioritize tasks and projects based on business needs and impact
• Analyze hardware and software issues, develop, and implement solutions
• Perform employee and guest user onboarding and offboarding
• Coordinate and work with vendors and system providers to install systems and resolve issues
• Enforce company policies and security protocols
• Create and maintain instructional and information documentation for the IT team and end users
• Protect and track IT assets
• Research systems and products that satisfy new business needs or improve existing operations
• Learn to use and work with new systems, applications, tools, and hardware that will contribute to a more efficient and profitable business

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of an associate degree AS-T or comparable technology degree from a two-year college or technical school and/or four years work-related experience
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and be willing to work nights and weekends as needed
• Must be able to travel to central office and remote facilities as needed
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects such as desktop PCs, rack mount servers, laser printers, etc
• Must be able to communicate in English and have good verbal and writing skills
• Must be able and willing to work with hand tools such as screw drivers and wrenches and small power tools such as power screw drivers and power drills
• Prefer but not required:
  • Any experience working with any Point of Sale or Food Service Systems
  • Any Microsoft certifications such as, MS 365, MS Office, Windows OS, MS Security & Compliance, Windows Server Admin, MS Network Fundamentals, MS SharePoint, etc.
  • Any experience working with Microsoft Power Automate
  • Any experience with a scripting language such as, Javascript, PHP, Python, Perl, etc.
  • Any Cisco certifications and/or experience working with firewalls, switches and WiFi access points

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects such as desktop PCs, rack mount servers, laser printers, etc.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for several hours, climb a ladder, and use arms and hands to assemble and maintain hardware.
• Must be able to work with hand tools such as screw drivers and wrenches and some power tools such as power screw drivers and drills.
