Diamond Willow has an immediate opening for a Benefits and Onboarding Coordinator located at our corporate office in downtown Duluth, MN. Don’t worry about paying for parking! It’s FREE in a covered ramp.
We’re looking for a bright, motivated individual who relishes working with numbers and who thrives on meeting deadlines. This is a multi-faceted role. The ideal candidate will have some experience in human resources with strong benefits coordination. MUST HAVE STRONG EXCEL SKILLS.
Job Duties:
Answer employee questions regarding benefits, assist in solving any benefit related problems.
Communicate with the insurance broker to add eligible employees to the insurance enrollment portal and remove ineligible or terminated employees from the insurance policies.
Track and report ACA information and employee eligibility. Approve employee 1095 forms through payroll system during yearly reporting period.
Process new hire forms by adding individuals to the 401k online portal and benefit eligibility tracking system. Mail benefit and 401k enrollment information to newly eligible employees each month.
Enter and update benefit deductions within our payroll system.
Process 401k and HSA contributions every payroll by editing and uploading excel spreadsheets to online portals. Assist auditors in data collection for the annual 401k audit. Answer questions regarding the management of the 401k plan as pertains to the audit.
Process insurance bills monthly by updating excel spreadsheets with enrollments and monthly invoices.
File paperwork for FMLA leave, track leave of absence periods, invoice employees for insurance coverage. Gather and provide requested documentation for workers comp claims, monitor and report claim progress.
File necessary documentation for unemployment claims, act as company representative in appeal hearings as needed.
Work with Recruiter on improving onboarding processes with new hires and manage it.
Some recruiting duties.
Work with retention coordinator on fun employee retention projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred.
Some benefits administration experience is preferred but we may train the right person.
Fluent in Microsoft Office. STRONG EXCEL IS A MUST.
Previous experience in Paycom and Employee Navigator is a plus.
Candidate must be able to communicate in a concise and professional manor.
Must have high degree of attention to detail.
Organization skills and the ability to prioritize projects and daily tasks
