The Application Support Engineer II will serve as an application support Subject Matter Expert (SME) and is responsible for the deployment and ongoing support of complex network systems management and testing applications and solutions. To successfully perform these responsibilities, the candidate needs to have at least a working knowledge of database management, different operating systems, and at least one programming language. Also, an important part of the transformation to a highly automated setting, he/she will be responsible for ensuring all supported applications have monitoring proactive enabled with such standard platforms as New Relic, Elastic, or Big Panda. Basic scripting skills will also be needed to automate traditionally routine requests such as account creation and delineation. Application and solution reliability (e.g., maintenance and ongoing network and vendor performance) will be improved through and post deployment.
