Summary
We are looking for an intern to join our Resource department at our Engineering Center in Baton Rouge, LA. The successful candidate must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the school year. This is a paid position. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with regulatory filing compliance, working closely with the Onboarding Department and Engineering Executives and staff. Primary tasks include (but are not limited to) administrative duties, document review and summarization (abstract or brief) support the Team’s SharePoint sites both internal and external, research, assisting with discovery coordination, submission of documents as well as record retention.
The intern is encouraged to find efficient ways to complete tasks in an organized manner. The intern will also back up other interns, as necessary.
Responsibilities
Acquire knowledge of various quality engineering department’s operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
Observe work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
Use engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design, develop and execute testing procedures, and participate in facilities quality engineering work. * Maintain communication with program coach/mentor (if assigned) to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
Perform other related responsibilities.
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Economics, English, or a related field.
Open to students that are Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate students.
A current driver’s license is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications is essential (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
Attention to detail will also be critical for the successful candidate.
Must be available for a minimum of 30 hours/per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour.
