District’s Secretary’s Office
BART offers comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. Assistant District Secretary

Under the supervision of the District Secretary, Assistant District Secretary and Deputy Assistant District Secretary incumbent will perform professional level support to the District Secretary’s Office including Board Officers and Executive Managers; performs data collection and analysis, bookkeeping, or budget monitoring activities; performs related duties as assigned. Assists District Secretary management with designated statutory and administrative functions. Works with the Board of Directors, the public, outside vendors, and all levels of District staff. Receives only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise; keeps fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the Office and fills in for others as needed; performs related duties as assigned.
Beyond the minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will show technology proficiency, including effective use of Microsoft Suite applications and Adobe. Must have a willingness to learn new technology methods and software. Records management and digital information management.”
Education:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
The equivalent of three (3) years of full-time professional verifiable experience in executive administration, or a closely related experience.
Substitution:
Additional professional administrative, analytical and/or budgetary experience, as outlined above, may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. A college degree is preferred.
