Position Summary:
The clinical base supervisor is a member of the flight team assuming the additional role of base lead. This position will require positive interpersonal skills with the flight team, Carle Hospital employees, EMS representatives and leadership and line staff of regional hospitals. Attention to budget components of the program as well as staffing of the AirLife program is expected. This position will require a self-motivated, dependable and contentious individual who can function in a constantly changing environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Diploma (Not HS) in Nursing if RN fills position
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire or Paramedic License Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 3 months and Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification within 6 months and National Incident Mgmt System (NIMS) 100 within 6 months and National Incident Mgmt System (NIMS) 200 within 6 months and National Incident Mgmt System (NIMS) 700 within 6 months and National Incident Mgmt System (NIMS) 800 within 6 months and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) within 6 months or Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) within 6 months and Certified Flight Paramedic If paramedic fills position within 2 years or Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) If nurse fills position within 2 years.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
preferrederred experience in a supervisory position. Previous critical care transport and flight experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Fiscal acumen regarding budget. Excellent customer service relationship development with regional providers and ambulance and fire services. Liaison with regional entities in the development and implementation of transport services in their region/area.
