We are growing and as a result we are adding a IT Project Manager to our team. This position is responsible for managing Information Technology projects from scope definition and financial estimation through requirements, planning, testing, and implementation. The IT Project Manager role requires experience with large, complex projects and demands excellence in communication as well as organizational and time management skills. The role also includes mentoring of more junior project managers as well as the ability to contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives for the PMO.

Some of what you will do:

• Leads the coordination with Carenet business sponsors and IT resources to define the scope and requirements for strategic projects.
• Collaborates with business and IT leadership to identify resources needed for project delivery.
• Prepares budgetary estimates for assigned projects.
• Leads project planning activities to define tasks, deadlines, owners and key milestones, as specified by the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proactively looks for ways to mitigate resource constraints and other risks, associated with the timeline.
• Establishes best practices for managing projects in application development or infrastructure.
• Works with development resources to translate business requirements into technical designs. Assists in defining features and functions for software releases, as required by project needs. Pulls in subject matter experts to address issues, as needed.
• Manages the software development lifecycle for the project, including development, testing, organizational readiness and UAT.
• Tactfully drives project team members to complete deliverables according to approved project plan
• Create deployment plans and manage activities needed to ensure a smooth cutover.

Some of what you will have done:

• Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, engineering or science, or the equivalent in related work experience.
• MBA preferred
• PMP certification preferred
• Experience with Agile software development preferred
• Seven or more years of experience in a business or IT environment, including three or more years in an IT project management role, demonstrating knowledge of ServiceNow®, Smartsheet® or other project management software programs.
