Job Description Summary:
The Associate Director of the Office of Articulation and University Relations will provide strategic leadership in researching, developing and maintaining high quality institutional relationships which will contribute to holistic faculty engagement, course and degree alignment, and successful university transfer. This includes the development of accurate and complete documentation which formalize and institutionalize the university partnerships. To appropriately reflect the value of faculty-facing work, the knowledge and leadership required, and the level of responsibility that is essential in meeting the College’s Strategic Plan goals.

Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Collaborates with academic stakeholders to design, develop, and implement direct district-wide initiatives and strategies designed to enhance successful transfer alignment and efficient transferability of ACC courses and degrees.
2) Fosters strong university relations deemed necessary for effective transfer outcomes and engagement with articulation and academic leadership (i.e. vice chancellors, deans, department chairs) of transfer partners.
3) Directs the development, implementation, and monitoring of all transfer articulation agreements to ensure they meet guidelines, discipline requirements and are current.
4) Develops and reviews strategies to support course and degree transferability for the university/upper-division degree alignment and oversees the development of 4-Year Program Maps.
5) Promotes the need for transfer alignment and facilitates engagement between the College and transfer partners by hosting professional development and articulation events.
6) Maintains the repository of transfer articulation agreements and generates periodic reports to key stakeholders showing agreement status.
7) Effectively communicates with college stakeholders about the work of the office, new transfer articulation agreements, changes, and opportunities for students through a variety of media platforms
9) Participates in continuous improvement through appropriate professional development activities, evaluation of processes, engaging stakeholders, and innovating change.
10) Represents the Office and Division by serving on College committees, project teams and in advisory roles to support the needs of academic areas in expanded and clear articulation alignment.

Three years related work experience in higher education setting, including one-year supervisory experience.
Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.
Preferred Work Experience
Five years related work experience in a community college setting.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Education, or related field.
Preferred Education
Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, Education, or related field.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
