Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The Network Support II is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the campuses’ computer network. This involves designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting all network hardware, software, and communication links. This position supports the infrastructure needed by facilities and university police for life safety resources. This position implements and enforces disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans and help implement policies and procedures that align with industry standards and the University’s goals. This role is critical in managing the computer network and keeping it up-to-date with evolving technology.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field
1 to 3 years’ experience in network administration or support
Possess a Network +, CCNA, Security + or advanced networking certification or obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record to be able to travel between campuses in a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor¿s degree in related field
3 to 5 years’ experience in network administration or support
