Position Title & Reporting:
The Production Manager is a critical, high-impact leadership team role which is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of production including productivity, yield, quality, cost, process improvement, safety, and employee development. This position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing and is a key member of the leadership team.
Position Overview:
This position is accountable for leading all aspects of Production, working across multiple departments to manufacture products and serve our customers by producing the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
· Lead and coach all aspects of day-to-day Production activities to ensure workforce productivity
· Set production targets and achieve key production standards including yield, throughput, quality standards, and labor efficiency
· Production planning and achievement of plan
· Delivering customer orders on-time and maintaining customer specified quality
· Achieving and beating, cost targets established for customer orders
· Manage all Supervisor and hourly Production workforce elements including hiring, on-boarding, training, coaching, employee development, and performance management
· Maintaining & improving key management processes, such as daily reports, dashboards, etc.
· Assisting Business Development & Sales with sample orders and new product development activities
· Work closely with Engineering on all capital projects, machine improvements and technical issues
· Help direct Maintenance to ensure Production machine breakdowns are repaired in a timely and cost-effective manner
· Develop Work Instructions, and monitor SOP documentation
· Oversee the communication, information exchange, and working relationships between shifts
· Responsible for Special Projects as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
· Maintain a safe work environment and injury free workplace

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Experience:
· Minimum of 10+ years of production and operations experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Hands-on experience working with teams of hourly employees handling employee relations and disciplinary issues. Strong ability to coach, grow, and develop people
Education/Certification:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology field preferred
· Post college Management and Supervisory training/certification desired
Other Information:
· Travel: Minimal travel required
· Flexibility to handle periodic schedule adjustments to cover plant operating hours
· Work Hours: To be determined
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
