Summary:
The Academic Success Coordinator actively collaborates with faculty, staff and administration in the design,
development, marketing and implementation of academic success programs and services. Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment
and Retention, this person is responsible for providing individual services to students on academic probation or suspension and managing
retention services relevant to student success.
Responsibilities:
The Academic Success Coordinator administers all
programs and services directly impacting students who have been placed on academic probation or suspension. The primary role of this
position is to provide services that will enhance the success potential of students who are struggling academically. This includes meeting
with students individually to provide holistic services, including advising for those that are general studies majors, career guidance and
coaching, academic coaching and connecting with additional campus and community resources. To strengthen and improve services to students,
the Academic Success Coordinator will stay up to date on retention best practices and new innovations within the field. This role will also
be responsible for other student success and retention services for all students including the management of faculty retention alerts and
academic success communications, as well as, serving on the campus CARE team. This position reports to the Director of Recruitment and
Retention

Work Environment:
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Work is usually performed
during the normal work day, however, occasional early morning, late evening and weekend work may be required. Short periods of time will be
spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Due to busy seasons, there will be specific times of
crucial availability when leave time may not be approved.
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to sit, speak,
hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computer, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
may be required. Less frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (office supplies, paper boxes, etc…).
