ThePrentice Women’s HospitalSDS/PACU is a multifaceted unit that provides world-class care to patients undergoing gynecological, plastics, and breast surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Our nurses provide care to some of the most complex gynecological, plastics, and breast patients in the State of Illinois. Prentice SDS/PACU allows nurses to advance their skillset by combining cutting-edge technology and critical thinking skills to provide evidence-based comprehensive nursing care to our highly complex patient population.

In addition, the unit offers an environment that supports teamwork and collaboration from all members of the interdisciplinary team. On the Prentice SDS/PACU, nurses have the opportunity to get involved through departmental quality committeesand contribute to advancements in our evidence-based nursing care by participating in our LEAD (Lead, Excel and Develop) program. The Prentice SDS/PACU provides opportunities for professional growth and development and encourages lifelong learning to continue career advancement in the nursing field.
Candidates must have at least two years of ICU or PACU work experience in order to be considered for this position. This is a part-time position, 0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week.
