The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is a one-of-a-kind academic unit with distinct, interdisciplinary expertise and potential for partnership with community stakeholders, conceived to address societal challenges and work alongside the community. The Opportunity:
The School of Teacher Education invites applications for an Accreditation and Program Approval Specialist I to assist the school director with developing, administering, and supporting initiatives to ensure the effective accomplishments of the academic mission of the college and university.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the collection and oversight of academic assessment, compliance, planning, and programming.
Direct, compile and submit to the school director, state, and national agencies all STE reports required for continued accreditation for program approvals. This will include 1.) Annual FLDOE Institutional effectiveness reports, 2.) Periodic Academic Program Review (APR self-studies), 3.) Annual AACTE PEDS report, 4.) National accreditation report if CAEP or AAQEP is contracted.
Collaborate and direct/create/analyze/document data and evidence from programs.
Work with the school director, and oversee preparation of data updates for faculty and programs (e.g., annual reviews), including any site visits, relating to accreditation at university, state, or national levels.
Work with the school director to establish, expand, and maintain partnerships at UCF for collaborative work related to accreditation and program approval, data analytics, and applications.
Direct the management and improvement of how data is managed, available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely to support accreditation, program approval processes, and support the vision, mission, and activities of STE, and how STE complements or could complement CCIE vision and mission.
Manage and oversee assigned staff or students who work directly with accreditation measures.
Direct the protection of confidential information in complying with FERPA regulations, UCF regulations, and Educational Records Management (FL Statues-Chapters 119-257).
Direct the preparation, implementation, and facilitation of STE, institution, and community-level assessments to address educational problems and work with State Colleges to provide solutions to challenges.
Other duties as needed and related to STE data collection, management, analytics, reporting, and oversight.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A terminal degree and experience working in a higher education setting.
Previous work with accreditation at the school, state, or national level.
Familiarity with FLDOE and teacher preparation policies and regulations and proven ability to work with a team with evidence of program support and success.
Minimum two years of work with data gathering and analyzing.
