Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Music/Tell School of Music is accepting applications for a Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching a course MUSI495: Audio and Music for Video.

Job Description
TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructor is responsible for teaching a 3-credit MUSI495: Audio and Music for Video course in the Department of Music’s Music Industry program. This is an advanced course in techniques for composing, scoring, and producing music and sound for video and film. Students will learn how to record and mix for visual media-specific applications. Students will be required to complete numerous technical and creative projects including composing for specific visual applications and mixing multi-tracked recordings in synchronization with visual media. In addition to teaching the course, the instructor will maintain a prorated number of office hours each week, at a minimum of twenty-five (25) minutes for each workload hour taught, at such days, times and locations as will accommodate the needs of the students. This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollments in the course.

CONTINUING SCHOLARLY GROWTH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT and SERVICE TO THE UNIVERSITY AND/OR COMMUNITY:
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.

Department of Music/Tell School of Music offers degrees in Music, Music Education and Music Industry to over 200 students. It prepares performers, educators and music industry professionals. In addition to is exceptional academic curriculum, students participate in the full set of ensembles, commercial bands and choirs. Music Department is housed in a state-of the art facility with multiple performance halls, rehearsal spaces and recording studios.
