The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) is UNC-Chapel Hill’s pan-university faculty development center, supporting faculty at all career stages. The CFE supports faculty members’ progress through the various stages of their careers in their roles as teachers, researchers, and leaders. The CFE serves as a hub for faculty at all levels to access and utilize mentoring to enable them to achieve their goals. The CFE offers programs, resources, and consultations in all areas to promote faculty success. The CFE values partnerships across campus to offer a synergistic approach to faculty development, connecting faculty to resources across the University. The Center for Faculty Excellence is dedicated to equitable support for faculty with attention to diversity and inclusive teaching and faculty development. |

Position Summary |
Administrative assistance to ensure CFE day-to-day and business operations. Administrative Support including: all Center materials and supplies ordering, taking delivery, and storing; event support such as locating venues, ordering catering, day-of prepping and cleaning; directing all consultation requests to appropriate staff members; setting up Zoom meetings and saving Usage Reports; monitoring and responding to or forwarding all requests to the CFE email address; maintaining and cleaning all CFE space including offices, storage room, kitchen, conference room, and workshop space by submitting HELP tickets for general issues, MDS for computer issues, housekeeping for specific issues, moving crew assistance for events and furniture issues, telecomm requests for phone issues, etc.; external communications including newsletters, written communications to campus constituents, and event flyers (alongside FWS students on Communications Team); website edits with FWS student; newsletter edits; Qualtrics Survey creation, previous survey maintenance, and editing; finance area responsibilities; HR form submission; and admin support for searches and hiring. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |

-Microsoft Outlook email and calendar -Zoom meeting setup and reports -Qualtrics surveys -Supplies, materials, and equipment ordering, maintenance, and storage –UNCCH processes, procedures, and systems |

Ability to lift/move/maneuver up to 20 pound with or without reasonable accommodations. Loading and pushing catering carts within building and outside. Removing items placed in the wrong recycling container. Climbing on step ladder with books to maintain CFE library of books for faculty and staff. |
