York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is
a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through
maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties
and of the State.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic and Student
Affairs, the Administrative and Project Coordinator serves as a project coordinator/manager for institutional initiatives and provides
general process support to units across Academic and Student Affairs.
Manages daily
operations of the Office of Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Provides administrative and project management
support for the Executive Vice President and other offices in Academic and Student Affairs as directed. Performs general office management
duties including responding to inquiries from campus and community stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Coordinates campus space utilization for Academic and Student Affairs including maintenance of the classroom inventory and
office assignments. Serves as key liaison for Ad Astra room scheduling software and conducts training on the software as appropriate.
Coordinates with Academic and Student Affairs leadership on managing the process of course scheduling and classroom assignments for each
academic term.
Prepares agendas for Council of Academic and Student Affairs meetings and records minutes. Ensures
effective communications and information flow between levels of institutional governance including Quality Learning Committee, CASA, and
Executive Committee. Tracks action items accordingly. Maintains files and records accordingly to support institutional accreditation.
Provides generalized support to institutional accreditation efforts as directed by the EVP.
Works collaboratively with
academic leadership to support faculty hiring as directed by the Executive Vice President. Manages faculty credentialing process and ensures
WEAVE database contains current and comprehensive information for all faculty teaching each semester. Creates and refines processes as
needed in collaboration with Academic and Student Affairs units, Human Resources, and Institutional Effectiveness. Manages renewal of
faculty appointments annually.
Supports and manages processes for new program development and curriculum changes as
directed and in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President for Academic Administration and Academic Records personnel. Tracks
curriculum and program approvals through all levels of the process. Prepares new program proposals for submission to the South Carolina
Technical College System for approval. Coordinates annual state reporting processes in collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness.
Remains current on program key performance indicators and informs Executive Vice President of areas of concern, including programs
approaching probation or suspension status. Serves as EVP representative on committees including Academic Calendar Committee. Collaborates
with Assistant Vice President for Academic administration on maintenance of curriculum and catalog management systems and associated
processes.
Other duties as assigned by Executive Vice President.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least two
years of experience providing advanced administrative support in higher education, or an Associate’s degree and at least
two years of relevant experience in higher education.
