Job Description:
The
Graham Center for Collaborative Innovation (GCCI) is a central new division of York College of Pennsylvania that is designed to support the
College’s strategic initiatives. Comprised of interconnected elements (The Knowledge Park, The Center for Academic Innovation, the Engaged
Scholars Honors Community, and the Graham Collaborative Innovation Fellows), the GCCI will bring together various entities from the College
and the community to innovate the way students learn and continue the work of York College as an anchor organization of our community.
York College is currently seeking a Senior administrative Assistant to work with the Executive Director and to provide logistical and
administrative support (including project and grant management), oversee the day-to-day operations of the GCCI office, provide programming
and event support, manage correspondence and client and faculty relations, and work with our Office of Communications on messaging through
social media and the College webpage. The successful candidate will have the excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
to manage client and faculty relations, will have experience managing budgets, have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and workflow
software, as well as webpage and social media experience), and the ability to work independently to organize and prioritize multiple
assignments. The ability to work some nights and weekends as needed is a plus.
Requirements:
The candidate should
possess: a High School diploma (Bachelors degree preferred), minimum 2 – 5 years secretarial/ office support/project management experience,
preferably in an academic environment; strong listening, oral, and written communication skills; the ability to relate to others and to work
independently with little supervision; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments; ability
to work with MS Word, Excel, client and project management software and social media; the ability to manage budgets.
