Wise Forest Preschool Hiring for Forest Preschool Teacher Job at San Francisco, CA Full Time

Our nature immersion outdoor program is seeking a part-time morning teacher with experience working with preschool-aged children (3 to 5 year-olds). The position is about 18.5 hours per week with 3.7 hour shifts on Mondays thru Fridays from 9:15am to 12:50pm. The program operates 48 weeks of the year, 100% outdoors. We have one week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks off for winter break, and a week off in the summer. We also have standard holidays for President’s day, Martin Luther King day, Memorial day, Independence Day, Labor day, and Indigenous Peoples Day. Our planned breaks that are 2 weeks or more are half paid. This fun and rewarding job requires being outdoors during our classes in all weather (occasionally we cancel class if there are high winds). Appropriate waterproof outdoor clothing and footwear will be provided to keep you dry and comfortable. Applicants must be able to lift 40 pounds. Applicants should be extremely enthusiastic about being outdoors and exploring the natural world with young children. At our school, we cultivate empathy and compassion in our students. Applicants who are warm, thoughtful, and considerate of student’s needs will be successful. We are looking for reliable teachers with excellent communication skills. Applicants willing to make a one-year commitment or longer are strongly preferred. We have a friendly and kind company culture. We are offering a $250 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment. The program is located in the Outer Richmond District of San Francisco. Highly competitive compensation depending on experience.
