Wimberg Landscaping, located in Milford, OH, has been servicing residential properties in the Greater Cincinnati area for 42 years. In that time, Wimberg Landscaping has grown from two employees and a truck to over 60 employees and 35 trucks. We provide professional “one-stop” landscaping services, from the initial design and installation of all plant materials and hardscapes, to ongoing maintenance, including lawn services, leaf removal, and snow removal.
We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English/Spanish and has a strong foundation and understanding of HR and recruiting. This position will provide support to our Central American employees who are in the United States on seasonal employment visas, as well as provide general recruiting/HR/office support.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with the hiring process and onboarding, including posting positions online, scheduling interviews, coordinating background checks/drug screens, and assisting with new hire paperwork.
· Provide verbal/written translations for various HR and employee communications, as well as during interviews, onboarding, etc.
· Attend career fairs and other events to advertise our careers within the community, which may require minimal availability in the evenings or on weekends. Travel to different sites in the Cincinnati area such as grocery stores, churches, etc. to assist with recruitment efforts and advertise open positions.
· May provide guidance to employees on opening bank accounts, obtaining state identification cards, obtaining driver’s licenses, and other items that will help them acclimate to life in the United States.
· Update internal databases with new employee information.
· Assist with maintenance of permanent and electronic personnel records.
· Carry out administrative work involving the HR functions and maintain related records to ensure compliance as required with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
· Assist with planning employee engagement events.
· Assist employees with the benefit election process.
· May assist with general office tasks, such as filing, updating databases, answering basic client inquiries, etc. as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Self-starter who seeks new recruiting opportunities and channels
· Available to work 30-40 hours per week
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and complete in a timely manner
· Fluent in both English and Spanish
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Strong leadership skills
· Driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record
· Ability to work with highly sensitive, personal information and maintain confidentiality
· Ability to fulfill responsibilities of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
