Position Summary:
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
This position reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and is an integral member of the college’s leadership team. The Business Officer manages university resources and equipment and provides fiscal oversight for the College of Arts and Sciences.
The Business Officer must be proficient with finance / accounting systems and should have exceptional communication and organizational skills. The Business Officer must sustain a strong network of connections across campus. The ability to prioritize among projects, a high level of integrity, good judgment, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative department are important skills for this position. The Business Officer should have good computer skills, the ability to analyze and present data, and be highly dependable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 1-2 years of relevant work-related experience (Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant work-related experience will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include previous demonstrated experience working in an administrative support office at a post-secondary institution of higher learning and knowledge of Banner Finance and budgets.
