Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

• Record invoices, expense reports, vouchers, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard policies and procedures to ensure proper payment and entry into the financial accounting system.
• Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closing.
• Handle vendor correspondence through phone, email, or written documents.
• Investigate and resolve issues associated with processing invoices and purchase orders.
• Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
• File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.
• Assist with system automation and integration projects as needed.
• Provide backup support to other groups in the accounting department and perform other general administrative duties as assigned.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years related work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office
