Summary of Duties:
The Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Curriculum Management (AEC) develops and oversees the strategies to: Continuously monitor and actively report on the outcomes of student learning in the MD program. Enable the delivery of a complex, integrated competency-based assessment program through the learning management system. Enable the delivery of a sophisticated Simulation training program to include reporting on progress and competency. Fulfill processes and functions related to maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
The role of the Assistant Director is to lead the strategic planning and workflow for the Student Assessment, Program Evaluation, and Curriculum Management Units. The Assistant Director solicits and evaluates information, develops strategies, makes recommendations to senior leadership and leads the execution of MD program assessment operations. Using a continuous quality improvement (CQI) approach, this position will ensure that the data collected on student and program performance is of high quality and meeting accreditation requirements. This position establishes the monitoring of assessment related activities and the performance of the program at all regional campuses and will work with various subcommittees of the Student Promotions committee to ensure that assessment and progression decisions are equitable for all students in the program.
The Assistant Director is responsible for personnel planning and supervision, along with financial reporting and planning for all units within the Office of, Assessment, Evaluation and Curriculum Management. The Assistant Director will also make recommendations relating to faculty development activities in the area of student assessment.
Accountable for the work of the Assessment team in the building and administration of assessments, analysis, dashboard management, and reporting for students, faculty, and committees/subcommittees.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification.
Additional Requirements:
Advanced experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe.
Demonstrated effective communication skills, in both informal and formal settings.
Demonstrated experience supervising employees.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Postgraduate and/or Undergraduate Medical Education.
Experience in higher education.
Experience with student assessment.

Monthly Salary: Minimum: $4,942.10, Midpoint: $6,255.82, Maximum: $6,912.69; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
