Job Summary:
Perform a range of administrative and clerical duties, often highly confidential, related to the Human Resources function, including compilation, processing and retention of personnel, medical and other confidential personnel records; assistance in defined staffing, benefit, training and compensation activities, and the compilation, retention and provision of data and information to authorized persons.
Provide a variety of administrative/clerical support to key functional areas of the Company business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Takes guidance and direction from the HR Manager, recognizing the importance of the administrative assistant role in ensuring the HR function is regarded as highly confidential, fair, consistent and competent in the delivery of its core products, services and responsibilities to the Company.
· Refer employee concerns and issues to the HR Manager.
· Promptly alert HR Manager to any issues or concerns, so that the HR Manager can be pro-active in issue resolution.
· Compile, process, and maintain employee records/documents in appropriate personnel, medical and I-9/other confidential files, ensuring compliance with State, Federal and other applicable regulations.
· Will be involved in the data entry necessary to execute an accurate payroll; will assist HR Manager with submitting information to Corporate for payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
· Maintain and monitor employee records including pre-employment and new hire documents, salary and benefits data, performance and disciplinary records, and other information in accordance with regulatory/compliance requirements.
· Assist in the recruitment and staffing processes focused on delivering great talent, including:
o Coordinate scheduling of pre-hire meetings, background checks and drug screens, using established tools and processes.
o Efficiently and effectively handle all paperwork as it moves through the interview process, helping HR Manager and Department Manager stay on track with key responsibilities.
o Send follow-up communication using agreed-upon letter templates to applicants.
· Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures and tools for the HR function. This includes periodic audits of essential HR records.
· Provide support to management team and employees, within administrative assistant job focus, to ensure they know where to secure needed tools or information. Engage HR Manager immediately, if required, by a situation that is presented by a manager or employee.
Education and Experience:
1 Year administrative experience, with focus in HR related areas.
Note: Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would enable the applicant to satisfactorily perform and meet the duties required of the position may be considered in meeting the stated minimum requirements.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
· Must be able to use hands, to sit, lift up to 20 lbs., stoop, bend, reach with hands/arms
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
· Requires the ability to speak, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties of the job. Must communicate clearly in English.
· Must be able to perform and complete multiple tasks
Equipment Used:
Telephone, calculator, computer, monitor, printer, hardware and software packages, computer equipment i.e. mouse and keyboard; Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
