Overview
The Assistant Director of Career Design for Statewide Campuses (Program Coordinator III) will provide senior-level support for the Career Design Center’s vision “to bring career education and opportunities to all USU students before graduation” for Statewide campuses. This position is responsible for developing initiatives and resources to meet the unique career needs of students at each of the Statewide campuses. This position plays an integral role in enrollment management for USU’s Statewide Campuses through initiating and maintaining high-level professional relationships with Statewide leadership and other key stakeholders, developing, implementing, and assessing career design priorities, strategies, and programs that support USU’s recruitment, retention, and completion efforts, and participating as a key member of the Statewide central administrative team.
The work of the Career Design Center is grounded in both career development theory and design thinking as articulated in Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life. Staff in the Career Design Center act as consultants to faculty and staff across campus, provide career advising to students, and develop relationships with employers across the state, region, and nation to provide quality internship and career opportunities for students and graduates. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Statewide Campuses with a dotted reporting line and strong collaborative responsibilities to the Executive Director of Career Design.
