The Administrator Ambulatory Nursing (AAN) is accountable for organizing, leading, managing and continuously improving Patient Care Delivery within Ambulatory Services for UVA Health (UVAH) [including clinics and services of the Medical Center, UPG and School of Medicine] in partnership with other clinical leaders and respective Medical Directors, so the highest quality care is delivered. The AAN reports to the Chief Nursing Officer UVAMC (CNO) with accountability to the UVAH Chief Ambulatory Operations Officer (CAOO) for back-office operations in the ambulatory setting. The AAN ensures the clinical enterprise works harmoniously with and supports the missions of UVAH. The AAN directly oversees programs that support the delivery of ambulatory services. As a deputy of the CNO and the CAOO, the AAN partners with Human Resources on recruitment and retention of all team members that fall under the CAOO.
Position Compensation Range: $172,078.40 – $275,329.60 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Registered Nurse with Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Master’s or Doctoral degree in Business or Health-related field.
Experience: 5 years of experience in management with progressive leadership abilities at a Director level or higher. Administrative experience in ambulatory services and within a complex academic setting strongly preferred.
Licensure: Registered Nurse.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
