Admissions Office Operations Specialist

Posting Summary:
Act as point person for admissions operations and office functions. Serve as functional supervisor for telephone staff. Answer questions, coordinate phone and email schedules. Oversee admissions office mail distribution and faxes. Oversee flow of admissions documents throughout office; maintain admissions publication inventory located between three buildings and one or more external vendors; manage mailing of international admission materials via DHL; perform data entry on the Slate student information system for both prospects and/or applicants; answer incoming telephone calls to the Admissions Office and respond to general questions; provide application status information to prospective students, parents and high school counselors; order office supplies. Coordinate the production of Admissions Office recruitment and decision letters, as well as out-going recruitment materials; extract populations and data for mailings, coordinate mailings; extract electronic transcripts and supporting documents, serve as liaison with University Print and Mail Services; update and maintain admission letters; query inquiry and applicant data to verify data queries for communications; maintain database of mailing volume and associated expenses.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Associate’s degree with one to three years of related experience, working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with Internet resources required. Strong communication skill, both oral and written, required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills desired.
