SIUE Dining Service has great opportunities for experienced candidates with great initiative, leadership ability, and excellent customer service skills. The department is currently accepting applications for a full-time, Culinary Worker V. The Culinary Worker V supervises, instructs, and plans the work of others engaged in the preparation of large-scale food dishes and specialty items such as baked goods, etc. This position will handle requisition of food supplies from storeroom through supervisor, ensure sanitary cleaning of supplies and equipment (kitchen, storerooms, and refrigerators/freezers), inventory control, preparing menus, maintain department records and preparing reports as needed. The selected candidate will also inspect and approve the quality standards of finished food or specialty items such as bakery products and provide primary first line supervision of kitchen or similar staff. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.
