Job Summary
Provide customer
service to sponsored students with special needs, Maintain AR accounts including statement generation and posting of payments. Reconcile
assigned general ledger accounts, other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor. This position requires the employee to demonstrate a
thorough working knowledge of electronic e-mail systems, preferably Outlook, including the e-mail and calendaring functions of the
system.
Responsibilities
Processes invoices for payment, ensuring billed amount and quantity received
corresponds to purchase order. Prepares invoices and bills. Reviews, deposits, and posts payments, scholarships and other transactions to
accounting systems. Prepares check requests, campus orders and purchase orders. Ensures transactions are posted correctly to accounts and
reviews transactions for accuracy and required back-up documentation. Reviews and reconciles University procurement card statements.
Responds to a variety of accounting-related questions, such as inquiries from vendors on invoice status and from students on financial aid
status. Assists department staff with questions on payment or purchasing documents. Assists with preparation of various accounting and
financial reports. Reviews work of and provides training to accounting clerks.

Minimum
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus two years full-time clerical accounting
experience or equivalency required. The ability to understand, interpret, and apply University and departmental regulations; demonstrated
spreadsheet skills; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience using software programs such as
PeopleSoft or Kronos may be required for certain positions.

Preferences
Accounts receivable,
data entry, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and general office experience preferred. A strong commitment to the concept of
excellence in service is expected from the selected applicant. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is
preferred.
