Your opportunity:
The laboratory coordinator will be an integral member of the Centre for the Sustainable Built Environment (CSBE) within the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering. They will work with faculty and students in the Centre to create new data on construction material use in buildings and cities, to maintain and build on the existing dataset and support incoming students to learn the skills and methods they need to create and work with the data. The position provides support for collaboration with industry partners in collecting of confidential building drawings and the proper storing and processing of the drawings. They will build REVIT BIMs (or equivalent software) and work with other material take off software as appropriate. The laboratory coordinator will support the writing and publishing of academic papers and non-academic writing on research stemming from the data created. They will follow, and support others in following, strict confidentiality and data control protocols.
