Purpose of Position
Under general supervision and with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, assists Enterprise
Customer Support Representatives with the investigation and resolution of software and hardware problems for all faculty, staff, and
students.
Essential Functions
Assists with the collection of information about a user’s problem and uses diagnostic
procedures to determine source of error.
Assists with problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine
user problems, and refers more complex problems to Enterprise Customer Support Specialists.
Logs and tracks calls using call-tracking
system.
Assists in the support and troubleshooting of handheld devices as well as basic computers and printers.
Assists in
desktop/laptop imaging and new computer set ups.
Analyzes and evaluates requests and makes recommendations to reduce help line incident
rate.
Assists in the provision of trainings and develops/maintains manuals to users on IT deployed technologies.
Provides directory
assistance to internal and external customers.
Stays abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies.
Assists with special
projects and new technologies, as needed.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software
systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or general
education degree (GED).
Minimum Experience Required: One year of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish)
