Assistant Herd Caretaker
Ag & Natural Resources Associate 1 (Asst. Herd Caretaker) – ETREC – Full Time
Qualifications
Position performs agricultural duties including livestock care, farm labor, equipment/machinery operation and assist faculty researchers. Duties could also include general animal husbandry activities such as milking and feeding cows.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of livestock and agricultural operations. Ability to work with farm animals. Skilled to operate farm equipment/machinery including tractors, trucks, forage harvesting equipment. Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of milking and feeding dairy cows. Skills to operate and maintain farm equipment.
Education/Experience:
A high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid TN driver’s license are required. Farm work and background/experience is desired.
