Description: Performs advanced fiscal, accounting, and general ledger functions. Prepares budgets, financial forecasts, and research.
This position will be an integral part of the accounting team and will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, distribution processing, non-financial compliance, and reporting functions of the Innovation Institute within the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This position will report to the Accounting Supervisor. This position performs a broad range of accounting, finance, and reporting functions with minimal supervision, at a professional level to ensure the maximum performance of the office. This position will operate with autonomy in accordance with established policies and will make independent analyses. Expectation of independent work on routine processing. Supervision will include periodic status reports and cross checks.It requires an individual with skills in organization, communication, analytical and critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and decision-making, as well as the ability to set priorities and work under pressure. Creativity and ability to adjust to chance is important as the University is changing, the OIE is growing, and new systems are constantly evolving. Proficiency with Excel, Adobe PDFs, and Outlook email; and willingness to learn KSS TechTracS database (KSS), DocuSign, Zoom, PRISM, Panther Express, Microsoft Teams, etc. is essential.
