Head Athletic Trainer

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation.
Duties: Supervise and coordinate the overall injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, short-term and long-term rehabilitation, education and counseling, and athletics-related health care administration of all student-athletes.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in athletic training and National Trainer’s Association Board Certification and a minimum of five years’ experience. Preference given to candidates with a master’s degree in a related field. Strong writing skills, computer skills and ability to work nontraditional hours and travel when necessary. A sense of humor and well-developed work ethic are also helpful.

Department Details: Pitt-Bradford, one of five University of Pittsburgh campuses, sits on a 470-acre campus in Bradford, a town of about 10,000 people in northwestern Pennsylvania and surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest. Take just a couple steps off campus and you can hike, bike, hunt, fish, canoe, ride horses, etc. Take part in arts and cultural events at the various museums in the area such as the world-famous Zippo/Case Museum as well as the Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibition Center. Travel a little farther and you will be in beautiful Chautauqua, NY, home of the internationally renowned Chautauqua Institution and its cultural offerings. Bradford is also located approximately two hours from the Canadian border and the amazing Niagara Falls.
