Job Description Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator B
(CRC-B) will initiate and coordinate clinical studies and trials for the Division of Traumatology, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency
Surgery. This position will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of clinical trials (such as start-up and protocol implementation and
closure). The CRC-B will be responsible for staff education, subject screening, obtaining informed consent where appropriate, obtaining
research samples, and coordinating subject visits. This individual will also be responsible for providing regulatory support, data entry
into electronic data capture systems (e-CRFs), appropriate reporting of AEs and SAEs to the sponsor and IRB per protocols, and will ensure
all data entry requests and subsequent queries, including monitor findings, are addressed in a timely manner. The CRC-B will work closely
with the Trauma Registry to identify additional data elements for enrolled subjects and will coordinate activities between the Penn Acute
Research Collaboration and the Division of Traumatology on mutual projects. The CRC-B will participate in study meetings, and site visits
(eg SIVs, monitoring, and audits). The CRC-B will also be responsible for on call activity in rotation with other clinical research
coordinators. The CRC-B will complete relevant training to function in the role.
Position is contingent upon continued grant
funding.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 2
to 3 years of experience or combined equivalent combination of education and experience required.
