The Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology at the level of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates who are conducting rigorous research on important topics in clinical science, broadly defined.
The successful candidate will join the core faculty of our APA- and PCSAS-accredited clinical training program, a clinical science program designed to prepare students for academic/research careers in clinical psychology, and will contribute to our department’s teaching missions at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department of Psychology is collaborative, interactive, and committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge about mind, brain, and behavior. It is housed within the School of Arts & Sciences, which comprises 28 academic departments, the College of Arts & Sciences, the Graduate Division, and the College of Liberal & Professional Studies. Interdisciplinary research and collaboration are supported by the breadth and depth of academic pursuits at Penn and by the proximity of resources on our contiguous green urban campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our faculty and students benefit from an exceptional intellectual community that spans Penn’s 12 schools and university-affiliated hospitals as well as numerous centers relevant to psychological science, including the MindCORE center for the interdisciplinary study of the mind, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Initiative, the Positive Psychology Center, the Computational Neuroscience Initiative, the Center for Neuroscience and Society, the Penn Brain Science Center, and many others. Our work is also enriched by the wide array of research, clinical, and training opportunities available throughout the greater Philadelphia area and by the highly diverse population of the region.

Qualifications
● Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology awarded by August 2024
● Strong research potential in any area of clinical science, broadly defined
● Capacity for teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and capacity for mentoring and supporting a diverse student body
● Preference will be given to candidates who are eligible to become licensed clinical psychologists
