Job Description Summary
The Pediatric Anxiety Treatment Center at Hall-Mercer (PATCH) is a specialty clinic that represents a joint venture between the Penn Center for Mental health and the Hall-Mercer Community Mental Health clinic. PATCH therapists assess and treat children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and related disorders through evidence-based practices (cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP), with a primary mission to serve youth in the Philadelphia public mental health system.
The PATCH Program is looking for a Staff Psychologist to join our team. The Staff Psychologist will work closely with PATCH Clinical Director Emily Becker-Haimes, PhD, to support ongoing efforts to expand the program and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts and community outreach. This person will provide supervisory support to staff within the PATCH program as well as provide direct clinical services. Primary activities will include supervision of master’s level clinicians and graduate trainees and the provision of direct clinical services seeking specialty treatment services for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders to youth between the ages of 4 and 18. Specific direct care clinical responsibilities will include conducting intake evaluations and providing individual therapy. The psychologist will be expected to receive in-house specialty training in and deliver exposure-based cognitive-behavioral therapy, consistent with the PATCH treatment model as well as use and support other staff to use evidence-based assessment progress monitoring tools to guide their treatment practice. A portion of time will also be allocated for individual and group supervision and administrative activities (e.g., intake report writing, staff meetings).
This position is eligible for 1-2 days of remote work per week.
