Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Planning at SP2, the Senior Business Administrator serves as a critical member of the School of Social Policy and Practice’s Finance and Administration team. The position provides support and guidance to senior-level group members, other F&A staff, and SP2 constituents. Responsibilities include preparing various financial and other analyses and data analytics to support the vision and mission of SP2. The Senior BA also serves as a high -level reviewer and approver for all transactions and provides feedback to other team members as it pertains to compliance with Penn and SP2 financial policies. Under the guidance of the Director, the Senior BA will work alongside the other Senior BA to manage the school’s payroll processes, including the hiring of full-time, part-time, and temporary faculty and staff, independent contractor classification, and being expert in the use of Workday. This position plays a vital role in assisting the F&A group and the school in their goal of continually improving financial processes, while ensuring effective stewardship of School and University resources.
All SP2 staff are required to participate in convocation and graduation.

Must clearly demonstrate attention for detail and have highly effective interpersonal skills; the ability to enforce policy guidelines with constituents in a professional and diplomatic manner; and the ability to collaborate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and skill sets within different areas of the School. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively and remain flexible in order to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
