Job Description Summary
The Alliance to Increase Diversity (AID-GC ) Project Coordinator will assist in the implementation of the WAF-AID-GC grant objectives. They will track the quarterly reports and compile the annual report for the grant for submission to the funding agency. The project coordinator will plan, design, implement, and manage communications, monthly seminars, and outreach activities to elevate the visibility and build positive awareness of the AID-GC Program. They will work with the PI to development strategies for the AID-GC scholarship and educational initiatives through written and oral communications and visual content across various platforms, including local and national print and electronic media outlets and social media. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing content and updating the AID-GC website content by proactively working with the faculty, students, and staff from the AID-GC programs on developing, writing, and designing content. They will coordinate a comprehensive social media strategy for the AID-GC project, working closely with the AID-GC Principal Investigator. A communications calendar will be created and maintained to identify events or other opportunities
Job Description
The Alliance to Increase Diversity (AID-GC ) Project Coordinator will assist in the implementation of the WAF-AID-GC grant objectives, along with the Principal Investigator (PI) for the grant. They will track the quarterly reports and compile the annual report for the grant for submission to the funding agency. The Project Coordinator will work with the PI to plan, implement, and manage communications between the consortia programs to facilitate sharing of information about upcoming initiatives, deadlines and program meetings. They will organize monthly program meetings and annual retreats, including travel and meal logistics. They will also schedule meetings of the Internal and External Advisory Committees as directed by the PI. They will maintain and keep current information about the program for incoming students and will communicate directly with the students or through individual program leadership as needed throughout the year. They will be responsible for planning the semi-annual scholar retreats. They will serve as the point person for collecting and maintaining files relevant to grant reporting, both quarterly and annually, and to any research projects involving the grant.
The Project Coordinator will work with the PI to develop strategies to elevate the visibility and build positive awareness of the AID-GC scholarship and educational initiatives through written and oral communications and visual content across various platforms, including local and national print and electronic media outlets, conference presentations, publications, and outreach activities. They will be responsible for producing various communications content, including marketing and promotional materials and publications. The Project Coordinator will coordinate a comprehensive social media strategy for the AID-GC project, working closely with the AID-GC PI. The AID-GC Project Coordinator will develop and maintain the AID-GC website by proactively working with the faculty, students, and staff from the AID-GC programs on developing, writing, and designing content. A communications calendar will be created and maintained to identify events and other opportunities for building awareness of the project and reaching potential applicants. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for supporting and tracking all activities. The Project Coordinator will coordinate the development and dissemination of an annual AID-GC e-newsletter for genetic counselors who work with perspective students and their community.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
