Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is for an experienced individual to assist in the establishment and upkeep of a functional research laboratory, which includes, but is not limited to: (1) the purchase, organization and maintenance of materials, reagents, and equipment for the research group & (2) establishing and maintaining records and inventories of research reagents and material such as antibodies, plasmids, cell lines, and tissue samples. In addition, the individual will be tasked with (1) establishing good research practice protocols for the laboratory, and (2) maintaining a murine animal colony, including monitoring breeding and genotyping mice.

Qualifications
Research Specialist A: Bachelor of Science Degree and 0-1 year of experience working in a laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working with mice is also required. Experience in cell culture and genotyping is preferred.
Research Specialist B: Bachelor of Science Degree and 2-3 years of experience working in a laboratory equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working with mice is also required. Experience in cell culture and genotyping is preferred.
This part-time position will be scheduled for approximately 20 hours weekly. There is some flexibility with the number of scheduled weekly hours.
