Job Description Summary
The Center for Weight and Eating Disorders at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to collaborate on studies of novel weight management therapies, including anti-obesity medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide, etc). This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, in mornings (8 AM to 1 PM). The candidate should be experienced in taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, performing and interpreting ECGs, and assisting with phlebotomy as needed. In collaboration with the study physician, the candidate will monitor participants’ health in briefly monthly or bi-monthly contacts, record any significant changes observed, enter findings in an electronic data base, and help adjudicate adverse health events. Experience working on a multidisciplinary team (i.e., physician, psychologist, RD, and MA) and caring for persons with overweight and obesity is desirable, as is an interest in contributing to the science of obesity management.
