Job Description Summary
Plan, manage and execute logistics for a wide variety of School of Nursing events, both on campus and off site. Assist event owners to develop promotional strategies, material requirements, market identification, and timelines. Under the guidance of the Associate Director of Events, and in partnership with other members of the Marketing and Communications team, develop and disseminate collateral for promotion and event attendees. As the point of contact with speakers, coordinate travel logistics, presentation requirements, and reimbursements in a timely fashion. With the event owner assist with the development of event budgets, research venues and vendors, negotiate costs, and monitor expenses. Participate in the post-event debrief and evaluation for content and financial success and to inform for future planning.
Job Description
Logistics: Space, Technology, Catering – Plan, manage and execute a wide variety of events and conferences for the School, the Office of the Dean and multiple departments and faculty to ensure optimal results within budget; activities include but are not limited to conferences, seminars, lectures, webinars, receptions, retreats and award programs as well Development and Alumni Relations programs.
Logistics: Marketing & Materials – With event owner develop promotional strategies, materials and timeline to market events working in partnership with other members of the marketing and communications team and client to ensure maximum exposure.
Logistics: Speakers – Act as speaker liaison for the School of Nursing before, during and after events to ensure their needs are met.
Finances/Budget -Assist with the development and monitor event budgets and expenses.
Reviews: Post Event & Annually – Evaluate post-event effectiveness including logistics and project plans for the year to inform future planning.

The successful candidate will be a team player who possesses superior organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to compose and edit written communications essential. (Writing samples are required). A systems thinker with a results orientation is needed. Excellent PC skills in MS Office including strong database management and efficient use of the Internet required. Knowledge of Adobe Suite or Publisher preferred as well as Salesforce a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop systems and procedures and provide a high level of solution driving problem solving required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
